Applica Inc.       Miami, FL
In order to comply with new Sarbanes Oxley regulations,
Applica replaced its old legacy fincancial backend system with
Oracle's Financial Application Suite and implemented an Enterprise
Architecture using TIBCO Software.
CHALLENGE
With growing SEC Regulations, Applica's financial systems now had to comply
in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley regulations. With warehouses in the US, the new financial
application had to interact with the existing Warehouse management systems. Applica also
had to implement a B2B protocol for order processing and tracking via EDI transactions to their 3rd
Parties.
SOLUTION
With Oracle's Financial application as the front end, Applica chose TIBCO's EAI Toolsuite to
architect a scalable Enterprise Integration. By using TIBCO's BusinessConnect, Applica was able
to connect via EDI to their 3rd party vendors seamlessly. As orders were processed, the backend
WMS systems were updated with the inventory changes in realtime.
As part of the Integration solution team, EA Technologies responsibilities were:
- Lead Architect on implementing a complete Enterprise Integration solution of all WMS systems & Exchanges to the Oracle ERP.
- Implement SOA arcitecture using TIBCO's JMS & EMS messaging infrastructure, TIBCO's Portalbuilder , TIB/BusinessWorks & SOAP services for patient portal
- Configure multiple LDAP architecture to support active directory and Portal Architecture
- Project management for team of designers and developers of the lifecycle of the project.
